What you'll be doing 

 

Based in Kiveton on a Hybrid working basis.  FTC until December 2025.

 

To lead the supply planning process for our Food For Later and Salads business/category, ensuring processes facilitate data and reviews, support the building of operational and logistical strategy engaging with operations and logistics teams, and ensuring decisions on priorities are made

  • Define and lead supply planning processes for the total business /category
  • Ensure consistency and alignment across the total business /category in supply planning processes to ensure clear capability planning with Commercial, Operational and Financial leads as required
  • Lead monthly planning processes to ensure decisions can be made on the operational/logistical needs in required time to deliver the required sales, portfolio and capability and support the building of operations and logistics strategy, ensuring incremental growth is delivered for the business
  • Support leadership of weekly planning processes by exception (deferring to supply planning managers as much as possible) to ensure decisions can be made on the execution of operations and logistics plans
  • Collate the monthly reporting of supply planning activity including cost, margin and volume tracking along with capability performance, throughput and demo output and critical supply chain resource management
  • As a key leader in the IBP process, decide upon issues affecting supply planning across the total business/category and ensure recommendations reach the reconciliation and management reviews, in conjunction with IBP and business leadership peers
  • Overall responsibility for supply planning processes, managing team to deliver the required plans, analysis, modelling, consensus, and decision-making required, with appropriate time fence compliance
  • Measure supply planning in the business by looking at customer and supplier service level and Operational and logistical plan attainment factoring in network cost, product quality, stock holding and capacity achievement
  • As required, attend necessary meetings relating to the successful completion of operational and logistical activities, e. g., operations/logistics meetings, network/supplier meetings, or fulfilment/scheduling/procurement meetings, this may include other functional meetings as required to ensure business support for the operations and logistics strategic plan
  • Support the achievement of our sustainability plan through leading with a sustainability mindset
  • Support the achievement of our inclusion and diversity aspirations through role modelling and personally leading and hiring inclusively, embracing and encouraging diversity
  • Implement and ensure compliance with our data management and governance policies, procedures and/or guidance governance approaches so that associated risks are mitigated and managed

  • FMCG experience, with an understanding of how businesses operate and the interconnection between the business functions including the wider supply network, customers and suppliers
  • Experience of operating in commercial and/or finance roles, with understanding of the costings and margin management practices sufficient to assess potential impact and benefits/issues that change to practice may bring
  • Demonstrable experience of leading change programmes, across multiple disciplines and sites, which deliver sustained performance improvement
  • Demonstrates integrity, influence and impact with senior stakeholders, applies a realistic and logical approach with proficient / adaptable communication techniques
  • Ideally educated to MBA level with experience of identifying and delivering innovative solutions; constantly learning and evolving best practice
