Why Greencore?

Following the combination with Bakkavor in January 2026, we’re one of the UK’s leading creators of convenience food, driven by a simple purpose: to make every day taste better.

As a vibrant and fast-moving business, we’re proud to employ over 28,000 talented colleagues across 36 manufacturing sites and 21 distribution depots in the UK and the US. Together, we bring delicious food to life. Our products cover every meal occasion from breakfast through to dinner and dessert, with lunch and snacking in between. In FY25, our shared passion helped us achieve combined revenues of approximately £4bn. Our extensive direct to store (DTS) network, with 17 depots across the UK, allows us to deliver fresh and frozen food both our own and from trusted partners to thousands of stores every day, ensuring consumers enjoy the very best, whenever and wherever they shop.

Here at Bow, we have a team of around 1100 colleagues. We produce sandwiches, wraps, platters, sub rolls and baguettes for some of the biggest retailers in the UK including Sainsbury’s, Co-op, Asda, Morrisons.

What you will be doing:

  • Assemble and prepare sandwich boxes with care, ensuring product quality and accurate use-by dates are checked and maintained
  • Palletise finished products by stacking boxes correctly and securely to meet shipping standards
  • Operate despatch machinery including belt machines, ice printers, and sealing tape machines safely and efficiently
  • Complete and submit all required paperwork accurately and within deadlines, ensuring compliance with company procedures
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with the Production Department to coordinate workflow and resolve any issues promptly
  • Adhere to health and safety standards and maintain a clean, organised work area

What we are looking for:

  • Physically fit to handle manual tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills (maths and English) essential for accurate packaging and documentation
  • Previous warehouse or production experience is preferred but not required — full on-the-job training will be provided
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product quality and safety standards
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

What you’ll get in return:

  • Competitive salary and job-related benefits
  • Competitive matched pension contributions
  • Employee awards and long service awards
  • Accredited Greencore qualifications, learning and development opportunities
  • Exclusive Greencore employee discount platform where you can receive discounts on retail, travel, and more
  • Access to a full Wellbeing Centre platform

Throughout your time at Greencore, you will be supported with on-the-job training and development opportunities to further your career.
