Why Greencore?

Following the combination with Bakkavor in January 2026, Greencore is one of the UK’s leading creators of convenience food, driven by a simple purpose: to make everyday taste better.

As a vibrant and fast-moving business, we employ over 28,000 colleagues across 36 manufacturing sites and 21 distribution depots in the UK and the US. Our products span every meal occasion, and in FY25 our shared passion helped deliver combined revenues of approximately £4bn.

Our extensive direct-to-store network ensures fresh and frozen food reaches thousands of stores every day. To support this scale, we are delivering a significant transformation through our Making Business Easier (MBE) programme, and this role is a key part of making that change land successfully.

What you’ll be doing

As a Change Management Lead, you’ll be responsible for designing and delivering the people side of change for specific MBE initiatives. Working closely with programme teams, business stakeholders, and site leaders, you’ll help ensure change is understood, adopted, and embedded.

You will:

  • Shape and deliver the end-to-end change approach for assigned initiatives, aligned to programme milestones and business outcomes.
  • Develop and execute integrated change plans, ensuring critical activities are sequenced, measurable, and embedded.
  • Conduct robust change impact assessments and translate into targeted actions that strengthen readiness and adoption.
  • Design and deliver hands-on interventions, workshops, and engagement sessions that move stakeholders from understanding change to actively owning it.
  • Build and support networks of change champions across sites and functions
  • Lead stakeholder analysis and engagement planning, ensuring the right people are involved at the right time and at the right level.
  • Work closely with sites and functions to identify risks, close gaps, and support smooth transition.
  • Develop clear, practical communication and engagement plans that reflect the realities of frontline operations.
  • Conduct training needs analysis and partner with learning teams to ensure capability development aligns to the change journey.
  • Continuously assess readiness, impact, and adoption metrics, adjusting interventions to ensure change sticks.
  • Identify risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating appropriately and supporting mitigation actions.

This is a hands-on delivery role, working at the heart of Greencore’s transformation and closely connected to how change is experienced on the ground.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone with practical experience delivering business change, who enjoys working close to delivery and supporting people through transition.

You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience leading and delivering business change or transformation programmes in complex, multi-site environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of recognised change methodologies (e.g. Prosci, ADKAR or similar)
  • Experience conducting robust change impact assessments and translating insight into targeted, practical action.
  • Credibility and confidence to influence senior leaders while building trust with colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong facilitation skills, with the ability to design and lead workshops, interventions, and engagement sessions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to translate complex initiatives into clear, grounded messaging.
  • Strong planning capability, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities.
  • A practical, outcomes-focused mindset, grounded in delivery and measurable impact.
  • Comfort operating in fast-moving environments with shifting priorities.
  • Flexibility to travel nationally across Greencore sites as required.

What you’ll get in return

At Greencore, people are at the core of everything we do. In return, you’ll receive:

  • Competitive salary and job-related benefits
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Pension (up to 8% matched)
  • Life insurance (up to 4x salary)
  • Company share save scheme
  • Exclusive employee discount platform
  • Access to a full wellbeing centre
  • Enhanced parental leave and menopause policies

You’ll be part of a growing change community, working on high-impact initiatives and developing your career alongside experienced change leaders during a pivotal period for the business.
