Here at Heathrow, we have a team of around 450 colleagues. We produce gluten free products, topped pasta salads, composite salads - pasta, leaf, grains, pasta pots and snacking - duo pots for some of the biggest retailers in the UK including Asda, Aldi, Co-op, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s. More than 160 million units per year across 600 different product lines for customers such as Morrisons, Tesco & Asda

 

What you'll be doing

As Warehouse Operative:

 

The purpose of the role is consistently adhere to the department standards and processes that deliver the inbound, picking and despatch operations safely, legally and meeting the operational key performance indicators and costs, that is to ensure that:

  • High GMP/Quality/Safety standards are maintained at all times

  • All deliveries are received, checked and put away in line with the procedure

  • All requirements for raw materials, packaging and consumable items are picked and supplied to the factory in a timely manner and adhering to site procedures and policies

  • All stock transactions are completed timely and accurately, and the stock levels are correct

  • Stock counts are completed with high level of accuracy and following the schedule

  • Raw materials and packaging are stored safely, always labelled, used in rotation to minimise disposals

  • Carry out tasks (e.g. loading and unloading lorries, receiving, checking and putting away incoming deliveries, and picking materials, packaging and consumables for production) as per daily shift requirements, or as requested by the Team Leader, Supervisor or Stores Manager.

  • Paperwork is required to be completed accurately, ensuring correct product identification code(s) and quantities recorded.

  • Ensure that any shortages are clearly identified and recorded at all stages, i.e. Goods Receipt, Put Away and Pick.

  • Communicate with managers and Team Leaders of any issues that may arise and impact on the ability to carry out your duties.

  • Adhere to all Health and Safety, and Food Handling policies and requirements. Ensure hygiene standards are maintained at all times.

  • Maintain hygiene standards and GMP compliance by working in a “clean as you go” manner.

It is expected that candidates demonstrate flexible approach to daily tasks, ensuring that the teams work is completed. It is also required that team members are qualified to operate MHE or willing to complete training provided.
