Our Warrington site is also known as the Italian centre of excellence, recent expansion and investment make this site a state-of-the-art manufacturing unit! We produce high quality Italian ready meals for both Tesco & Co-Op

 

What you'll be doing

 

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Warehouse Manager will be responsible for ensuring full compliance of the area with Health & Safety, GMP and Food Safety standards. They will also be identifying and implementing continuous improvement programmes which enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of goods in and despatch areas to achieve operational and financial KPI’s.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

 

*       Managing the recruitment, training, development and the discipline of all colleagues to ensure labour performance is sustainable and in line with budget

*       Providing leadership and direction to the warehouse teams to ensure that people are engaged, focused and delivering their potential and ensuring all mandatory / skills training is up to date.

*       Ensuring a health and safety culture is embedded and monitor the use of material handling equipment so that a safe and efficient working environment is promoted at all times.

*       Ensuring the appropriate handling, management and storage of materials so that food safety is maximised and the operational plan can be achieved.

*       Maintaining accuracy of all system transactions to ensure stock levels are correct; investigating and resolving system or process errors

*       Prior people management experience within a complexed manufacturing environment is essential

*       Understanding of budgetary and operational costs, capable of analysing and reporting KPI data

*       Understand LEAN to identify and implement business improvement programmes

*       Food Safety training, IOSH and HACCP will be highly advantageous

*       Previous experience of working with and good understanding of Warehouse Management System

*       Good standard of IT literacy, communication and numerical skills
