Here at Manton Wood, we have a team of around 1,700 colleagues. We produce sandwiches and wraps for some of the biggest retailers in the UK including Co-op, Asda, Morrisons, Boots, Aldi and Lidl. Our Manton Wood site has a gym, restaurant with hot food and a staff shop available to all our colleagues.
Please note: This is a part-time role and is available on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The standard hours are 2:00pm to 22:00pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday (22.5 hours per week in total), with occasional flexibility required to help cover holidays in the team across the rest of the week.
What you’ll be doing
- Provide administrative support for the Time & Attendance and HR functions
- Maintain the site’s time and attendance system (Kronos), including inputting labour plans, absences and shift patterns via Excel uploads.
- Set up new colleagues, manage exceptions, and ensure timely submission of payroll data to Group Payroll.
- Assist in generating and distributing absence and attendance reports to key stakeholders.
- Support general HR admin including maintaining personnel records and assisting with engagement and wellbeing activities.
- Collaborate with site managers and colleagues to resolve queries around timekeeping and payroll.
- Provide additional support to the HR Advisor as needed to meet deadlines and complete projects.
What we’re looking for
- Strong communication skills with confidence to liaise across teams and levels.
- Familiarity with basic IT systems: Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Office.
- An eye for detail, with strong numerical and data entry skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet tight payroll deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and adapt – experience with Kronos or other T&A systems is helpful but not required.
- Excellent customer-facing skills, with an analytical and solutions-focused mindset.
