Days - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 6am-6pm (after 6 weeks rotates to Thursday, Friday, Saturday for a further 6 weeks)

We have been serving our customers out of our Selby site since 1914. We produce more than 160 million units per year across 600 different product lines for customers such as Morrisons, Tesco & Asda.

Pay rates (Over time is after 36 hours a week x1.25)

Day shift - £11.56 an hour (Rises to £12.88 once hit required skill level)


What you'll be doing

This Semi-skilled position will be working as a Depalletiser Operative. In this role, your purpose will be to ensure the efficient running of the depalletiser on any line while considering quality, health and safety, safe operating procedures, site operating procedures and policies. Train to be able to cover Filler Operator as and when necessary for break relief, holidays etc. Whilst working in the role, some of the main things you will be required to do are:

  • ensure the correct glass and caps are on the line
  • ensure the efficient running of the filling end
  • ensure that you work to “Right First Time” ethos
  • work along side QA
  • complete data capture when required
  • resolving minor issues, mechanical and procedural
  • mentor and assist with the training of new staff and to support the filler operator with line changeovers, glass breakages and GMP standards.

What we’re looking for 

  • Experience working with machinery in a manufacturing environment is essential
  • Comply with all relevant business and site policies such as Health and Safety and Food Safety standards
  • Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and teamwork with the ability to work under pressure
  • Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment producing quality and safe products
  • Good attention to details
  • Have strong and effective communication skills both verbal and written
  • Be open to working in a production environment with varying temperatures
  • Have a positive attitude and work ethic
