Here at Bow, we have a team of around 800 colleagues. We produce sandwiches, wraps, platters, sub rolls and baguettes for some of the biggest retailers in the UK including Sainsbury’s, Co-op, Asda, Morrisons.

 

What you'll be doing

 

To ensure their lines’ compliance and adherence with standard factory, production, and hygiene processes. To maintain the highest standards of product safety and quality, as well as demonstrating effective compliance with all legal requirements. Through a process of continuous improvement, the company will always strive to better the products and services it provides. To comply with the sites management system that covers all aspects of the company operations that have an influence on the quality and safety of the products we provide to our customers. The system draws on the relevant aspects of the quality manual, to ensure the products supplied are safe and legal in accordance with current legislation including HACCP. 

 

Key Result Areas

 

*       Ensure start-up checks are completed for all equipment in use and any issues reported. 

*       Ensure correct product processing by following the factory procedures and set standards. 

*       Check quality of ingredients to ensure that quality is maintained.  

*       Take environmental and products/Ingredients temperature readings throughout the process to maintain set temperature requirements.  

*       Complete and or audit ingredients and finished product traceability paperwork throughout the process, and ensure it corresponds to traceability labels applied. 

*       Conducting internal online taste panel (organoleptic assessment). 

*       Ensure GMP standards are maintained, including equipment cleanliness after changeovers.  

*       Ensure allergen segregation procedures are followed. 

*       Identify foreign bodies (plastic, bone etc.) during processing of ingredients. 

 

*       Bring relevant quality issues to attention of QA, QA Supervisor or QA Manager.  

*       Report any found issues immediately and undertake the actions in timely manner.  

*       Support QA team with products / environmental sampling (swabbing, water collection, ingredients and finished product sampling) 

*       Maintain a flexible approach to work patterns as the business may demand.  

*       Perform any other relevant responsibilities given by senior management.

 

Shift Pattern: 4 ON 4 OFF

Start time: 17:30 PM to 06:00 AM
