What you’ll be doing 

  • Delivering new starter health screenings for all colleagues to ensure statutory and internal compliance. 

  • Carrying out health surveillance in line with legislation and site risk assessments. 

  • Supporting and promoting health education and wellbeing initiatives across the site. 

  • Providing individual advice to colleagues on occupational health matters and escalating where necessary. 

  • Conducting routine risk assessments and advising on action plans for improvement. 

  • Maintaining accurate and timely occupational health data and reports. 

  • Managing day-to-day administrative tasks, including appointment bookings, filing, and raising purchase orders. 

  • Building positive working relationships with line managers, colleagues, and external providers to deliver a confidential and efficient occupational health service. 

 

What we’re looking for 

  • Strong administration and organisation skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel etc) 

  • Experience in health promotion, occupational health or a similar workplace environment. 

  • Confidence in conducting and interpreting basic health screening tests. 

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to offer sound, sensitive advice to colleagues and managers. 

  • Good working knowledge of GDPR and a commitment to confidentiality. 

  • Calm under pressure, especially in emergency situations. 

  • Comfortable working independently and making timely, informed decisions. 

  • Organised, with strong attention to detail and time management skills.
