We’re a vibrant, fast-paced leading food manufacturer. Employing around 13,600 colleagues across 16 manufacturing units and 17 distribution depots across the UK. We supply all the UK’s food retailers with everything from Sandwiches, soups and sushi to cooking sauces, pickles and ready meals, and in FY23, we generated revenues of £1.9bn.

Our vast direct-to-store (DTS) distribution network, comprising of 17 depots nationwide, enables us to make over 10,400 daily deliveries of our own chilled and frozen produce and that of third parties. 

Our Warrington site is also known as the Italian centre of excellence, recent expansion and investment make this site a state-of-the-art manufacturing unit! We produce high quality Italian ready meals for both Tesco & Co-Op.

What you'll be doing

Are you an electrically skilled engineer to looking for a fast paced environment with opportunities to be involved in automation work or working with PLCs?

We're looking for electrical maintenance engineers to join our Warrington site!

As one of our engineers, you will:

  • Carry out fault finding, problem solving and planned and preventative maintenance on plant and equipment to maximise equipment reliability and performance
  • Respond to internal customer needs to maximise production up time according to given priorities
  • Comply with food safety standards and controls to ensure all work is carried out correctly and safely
  • Complete all necessary documentation ensuring that it is kept accurate and is audit ready
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for improvements to promote Health & Safety and/or operational efficiency and effectiveness

Our Engineers work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern with alternating blocks of days and nights (5:45-5:45)

You will have:

  • An electrical engineering qualification
  • Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within Food or FMCG environments
  • A proactive approach, with a willingness to learn and develop as there is considerable opportunity for development within our large engineering function
  • Experience in electrical and mechanical fault finding
  • An analytical mindset coupled with strong interpersonal and communication skills and a positive attitude are essential to fit into our Greencore culture
