We produce coleslaw, potato salad, salad bar bulk products (2kg), pasta salads and couscous/grains for some of the biggest retailers in the UK including Morrisons, Co-op, Asda, Aldi, Lidl, Sainsbury’s, KFC, Nando’s, Pizza Hut and Costco. Our Spalding site has a restaurant with hot food available to all our colleagues.

What you'll be doing

Logistics Administrator - Days Monday-Wednesday 07:00 - 15:00 at £12.64 per hour

To provide and support the Despatch Team in the day to day running of the department, to monitor and action all other relevant information for the department & to produce daily management information.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • To raise purchase orders for transport requests for transport/forklift cost 
  • Complete and update records daily for haulier invoices. Email invoice summary sheets to hauliers, deal with any queries
  • Complete SKU despatched reports, summaries, and transport costs
  • Complete weekly summary for service levels for both internal and external customers
  • Complete and update records for actual pallets, transport charges etc
  • Complete invoice summary re. haulier charges and email hauliers weekly
  • Complete daily managed recovery sheets (CHEP)
  • Complete and update daily labour usages, send to HR on a weekly basis.
  • Maintain shift rota, fire registers and PPE sheets for all staff and leavers.
  • Manage the ordering of CHEP pallets, de-hire, hire, monitor broken pallets etc.
  • Liaise with external companies for pallet collection and booking of collections.
  • Report forklift breakdowns, organise repairs once signed off by Despatch Manager
  • Deal with all despatch notes, POD’s, discrepancies, claims etc
  • Anything else within the capability of the job holder

What we’re looking for

  • Experience of the food industry would be preferably but not essential.

  • Experience of Microsoft word & Excel.

  • Training will take 3 weeks and to be fully competent approximately 3 months

  • Good/Advanced level of both spoken and written English

  • Good level of numeracy

  • Level 2 in Health & Safety and health & Hygiene is desirable but not essential as training will be given.

As the office is in the veracity of the Coldstore so can be cold in the winter. Also, my need to go into the cold store occasionally which runs at +3 degrees
