Here in Consett, we have a team of around 280 colleagues. We produce a range of chilled ready meals for some of the UK's leading retailers, including Co-op, Sainsbury's and Weight Watchers.

What you'll be doing

Potwash Op

• Focusing on the cleanliness of the equipment and Utensils we use to create our food products.
• Ensuring that we use the right chemicals and that they are stored correctly.
• Identifying if any of the trays, equipment or Utensils are damaged and reporting it in the appropriate manner
• Carry out day to day hygiene activities in line with daily requirements ensuring operational integrity
• Review equipment and highlight damage, escalating risks to the appropriate personnel
• Ensure that chemicals are used and stored correctly
• Ensure that all paperwork is completed accurately and submitted to the correct personnel
• Follow work instructions highlighting any issues to the Hygiene Senior Operator
• Promote a good health, safety and environmental culture within the department
• Identify and highlight any opportunities that make sustainable improvements to increase quality, performance in support of the overall shift plan

• Knowledge of HACCP
• Knowledge of COSHH
• experience working within a Hygiene focused role
