We are looking to appoint three Heads of Planning into our Supply Chain function, with one role aligned to each sector. Location is flexible; however, there will be a requirement to travel to sites within your sector.
What you’ll be doing
- Senior leader responsible for influencing strategic direction, overseeing planning and scheduling for product demand, long-term network plans, resource allocation and performance frameworks. Specialising in efficient supply performance against sales and customer goals, finance, product development and ensuring alignment across functions for future growth and success. They develop objectives, create strategic plans, manage risks and implement plans to achieve business targets, working with senior leadership and stakeholders. To create and implement the end-to-end planning strategy to ensure that business plan and strategic objectives are achieved.
- Provide leadership and management across planning departments (business and operations) in the business sector with the responsibility of delivering continuous improvement across customer service levels, inventory management and planning team costs.
- Continually improve the supply planning processes (capacity, network, production, materials and labour planning).
- Build long-term network visions, goals and strategic initiatives with cross-functional strategic network teams.
- Lead the management of strategy deployment, financial oversight, project management and stakeholder collaboration with Business Planning leads for the business sector.
- Oversee resource and workforce planning, process improvement, financial management and end-to-end supply chain oversight with Operations Planning leads for the business sector at sub-sector and site levels. This includes collaboration in joint planning initiatives with suppliers that enable improved visibility for supply.
- Develop systems capabilities and drive value-adding initiatives to enhance the business sector ability to more effectively service customers and enhance sales.
- Actively manage organisational risk related to both cyber security and data, by committing the necessary focus, resource and investing in the skills and experience required to ensure compliance to relevant policies and legislation, along with taking ownership for personal and commercial data processed throughout the group.
What we’re looking for
- Degree or MBA qualified (or equivalent experience), with strong commercial acumen.
- proven innovator who continuously seeks better ways of working and delivers sustainable best practice improvements.
- Strong FMCG experience, with a deep understanding of how commercial, operational and supply network functions interconnect across customers and suppliers.
- Commercial and/or finance background, confident assessing cost, margin and performance impacts to drive sound business decisions.
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale change programmes across multiple functions and sites, delivering measurable and lasting performance gains.
- Highly credible and influential with senior stakeholders, using insight and organisational awareness to drive alignment.
- An adaptable communicator, able to tailor messaging and approach to diverse audiences and business contexts.
