Job description

Why Greencore?

We’re one of the UK’s largest food manufacturers, employing around 14,000 colleagues across 16 manufacturing units and 17 distribution depots across the UK. We supply all the UK’s food retailers with everything from sandwiches, soups and sushi to cooking sauces, pickles and ready meals. In 2024, we generated revenues of £1.8bn.

Our mission is to make every day taste better.

As Executive Assistant, you’ll play a central role in supporting senior leaders within our Commercial function. This is a high-profile, fast-paced position where success depends on your ability to anticipate needs, manage competing priorities, and communicate with clarity and confidence. Your work will directly contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of senior leadership, enabling better decision-making and smoother operations across the business.

What you’ll be doing

The role is based at our Central Leeds office and follows a hybrid working model, requiring you to be on-site three days per week. There may be occasional travel to other locations across the UK and Ireland.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Co-ordinate complex diaries, schedule appointments, and manage meeting schedules to ensure maximum effectiveness for senior executives.
  • Book travel and accommodation across the UK and Ireland, as well as internationally, coordinating across multiple time zones
  • Plan, coordinate and deliver high-quality events, customer meetings, conferences and site visits in line with brief and executive requirements.
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders including major retail partners such as Tesco, Marks & Spencer, and Morrisons.
  • Lead and deliver projects as required, driving improvements in operational or administrative processes.
  • Work collaboratively across multiple teams and functions to support business priorities.

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience supporting senior directors or C-suite leaders in a busy, corporate environment.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels — including the ability to professionally challenge or push back when needed.
  • Highly organised, detail-focused and adaptable, with experience of managing competing demands.
  • Strong event planning and stakeholder management skills, ideally within a commercial or customer-facing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel.
  • Ideally holds a PA qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2).
  • Experience of working in or with large, fast-paced organisations and understanding internal governance and process.

At Greencore, we put our people at the core. We celebrate their differences and help everyone to be themselves at work. Together, we make every day taste better.

What you’ll get in return

  • Competitive salary and job-related benefits
  • 25 days Holiday + bank holidays
  • Pension up to 8% matched
  • Life insurance up to 4x salary
  • Company share save scheme
  • Greencore Qualifications
  • Exclusive Greencore employee discount platform
  • Access to a full Wellbeing Centre platform

Throughout your time at Greencore, you will be supported with on-the-job training and development opportunities to further your career.
