We supply all the UK’s food retailers with everything from Sandwiches, soups and sushi to cooking sauces, pickles and ready meals, and in FY23, we generated revenues of £1.9bn.  Our vast direct-to-store (DTS) distribution network, comprising of 17 depots nationwide, enables us to make over 10,400 daily deliveries of our own chilled and frozen produce and that of third parties.

 

Tamworth:

A major picking depot, employing more than 130 colleagues and operating a fleet of more than 60 vehicles. The depot serves major convenience retailers in the region.

 

What you'll be doing:

From the simple sandwich to a range of chilled foods, our customers need fresh stock daily and you could be part of our nationwide team making some of those 3.5 million deliveries each year and keeping Britain fed.

 

As a Team Leader you will be responsible for the Transport Loading Area.

  • Ensure that all activities are conducted in line with Safe System of Work.
  • Managing a team
  • Daily briefs with management and staff
  • Filling out HACCPs
  • Checking off outbound HGVs
  • Keeping to an outbound schedule
  • Communicating with transport and warehouse
  • Inbound/outbound live tracking
  • LLOP checks/maintaining, reach truck duties, key control, bay control

 

Role Details:

  • **Shift Time: **6am to 6pm
  • Pay Rate: We offer a total rate of £13.40 per hour(Plus £1.15 for hours worked between 10pm and 6am, and + £1.15 for weekend work)
  • Overtime: Premiums are payable after 42 hours at time and a quarter
  • Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Have credible experience of working in a busy warehouse/transport operation.
  • Good attention to detail and demonstrable self-discipline to manage your work tasks with minimum supervision, whilst being held duty accountable.
  • PPT certified preferred
