We are the sole supplier of sandwiches, wraps, rolls and sushi for Marks & Spencer.
What you'll be doing
As a Compliance Process Technologist you will maintain and improve quality systems ensuring compliance. This includes Quality Systems, Internal Audits, Industry Legislation & Customer Codes of Practice.
- Provide information to support the creation factory specifications which lead to the production of accurate and appropriate product labelling information
- Provide process guidance and advice to cross functional manufacturing teams to promote adoption of new practices or process for increased efficiency
- Monitor and communicate process trends to ensure launch date adherence, maximum process optimisation and effective communication to customers
- Challenge and investigate potential continuous improvement projects and facilitate relevant trials in order to drive process/ product enhancements opportunities
- Ensure that internal Quality Management System (QMS) and Food Safety system on site meets all retailer requirements and technical standards
- Take an active role in implementation of requirements and advise and support technical team and wider site functions to maintain compliance
- Take an active role in preparation and completion of all site external audits. Manage external audit information requirements and responses for site
- Establish or review and amend procedures as required by new customer codes of practice, new business initiatives or new internal systems. Complete regular reviews of new policies, procedures, guidelines and alerts and implement accordingly

- Desired: Degree in Food Science or related subject plus working experience within food manufacturing environment
- Site based role
- Evaluate and interpretation of data
- Expertise in interpretation of customer code of practice
- Good level of computer literacy ability to use computer programs to analyse project results
- Micro biological training
- Understanding of technology relevant to business area and area of responsibility
- Understanding of technical KPIs
- GMP knowledge of techniques
