Job description

Why Greencore?

Following the combination with Bakkavor in January 2026, we’re one of the UK’s leading creators of convenience food, driven by a simple purpose: to make every day taste better.

As a vibrant and fast-moving business, we’re proud to employ over 28,000 talented colleagues across 36 manufacturing sites and 21 distribution depots in the UK and the US. Together, we bring delicious food to life. Our products cover every meal occasion from breakfast through to dinner and dessert, with lunch and snacking in between. In FY25, our shared passion helped us achieve combined revenues of approximately £4bn.

Our extensive direct to store (DTS) network, with 17 depots across the UK, allows us to deliver fresh and frozen food both our own and from trusted partners to thousands of stores every day, ensuring consumers enjoy the very best, whenever and wherever they shop.

We are looking to appoint three Capacity Planning Managers, with one role aligned to each sector. Location is flexible; however, there will be a requirement to travel to sites within your sector.

What you’ll be doing

To manage the capacity planning process for the business sector, including the allocation of scarce resources, the co-ordination of supply execution, and the facilitating of planning and demand data flow to enable the delivery of operations and logistics strategy. You will focus on ensuring there is and there will be the right capacity and capability in place to meet customer demand across the planning horizon, by owning plans that enable leadership to make critical planning decisions.

*          Manage the supply planning process for the business sector.

*          As part of the monthly planning process, secure required planning data for operational and logistical programmes and build time-phased plans, with operational and logistical teams detailing product format, volume, revenue/margin value and timing - enabling portfolio, sales and capability estimation.

*          Lead the weekly tactical planning processes, managing all master data including run rates, changeover times, run frequency, efficiency and labour intensity of products, available hours/lines/machines of processes, and supporting the addition of new product data with portfolio teams - enabling completion of operational and logistical activity plans.

*          Manage the reporting of supply planning activity, such as cost, margin and volume tracking, and capability performance, throughput and demo output, as well as critical supply chain resource management.

*          Prepare and facilitate the agenda for both monthly and weekly Supply Reviews with the operations and logistics teams to ensure detail of changes, issues, options and recommendations for management, and the recording of performance measurements and planning assumptions.

*          Facilitate supply planning in the business sector by collating and updating plans, and analysing and modelling potential outcomes, as well as gaining understanding and consensus across teams and reaching recommendations and decisions.

*          Measure supply planning in the business sector by looking at customer and supplier service levels, operational and logistical plan attainment and network cost, as well as product quality, stock holding and capacity achievement.

What we’re looking for

*          Ideally qualified to degree level.

*          Experience of working with and understanding supply / demand processes.

*          Experience of sales ordering processing and distribution planning.

*          Experience of working closely with customers, sites, suppliers, managing customer expectations and delivery of service.

*          Experience of working in a fast paced, growth industry or business.

*          Experience computer-working skills and knowledge with systems, data, and planning tools.

We’re not all the same at Greencore and our differences help us to make every day taste better for all our stakeholders. We truly put our people at the core and are proud of our diversity.

If this sounds like you, join us and grow with Greencore, and be a part of driving our future success.

What you’ll get in return

*          Competitive salary and job related benefits

*          Holidays

*          Pension up to 8% matched

*          Life insurance up to 4x salary

*          Company share save scheme

*          Greencore Qualifications

*          Exclusive Greencore employee discount platform

*          Access to a full Wellbeing Centre platform

*          Enhanced parental leave and menopause policies

Throughout your time at Greencore, you will be supported with on the job training and development opportunities to further your career
